The tiny variety, called the thermal lily, is only 3/4 of an inch wide! It has been saved from extinction by this botanist.

Man, if I saved a lily from extinction, I would get so much mileage out of that. "Wash the dishes, are you kidding? I saved a lily from extinction, remember that?"
And I'd say, "Well it's not like you saved the largest lily in the world or anything."
"How freaking endangered can I ginormous lily get? Look at that monster! It takes a person of great sensitivity to be looking out for the thermal lily."
